The Myriam Project is a new undertaking for the Bay Area Serra Club. It is held annually at the Villa De Matel Convent, Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Word, Houston. Myriam is the Hebrew name for Mary.

Each year, young women interested in entering religious life meet to learn more about this career opportunity. Prayer and a short talk by the cardinal is conducted in the chapel.

The Bay Area Serra Club supports this event by providing a dinner to top off the evening. The dinner is prepared by members of the Serra club and volunteers from the Knights of Columbus, Council 8494..
